As a child, Dr. Jennifer Maloney knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. She has always had a special bond with and love for all animals. She attended the University of Illinois where she earned both her undergraduate degree and her doctorate in veterinary medicine. Dr. Maloney feels fortunate to have become the owner of the Cleveland Veterinary Clinic in March of 2012. What she finds most rewarding about her career are the close relationships she forms with her clients and patients. As well as general practice, Dr. Maloney has additional interests in abdominal ultrasound, laser, orthopedic and advanced soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Maloney lives in St. Charles with her 3 dogs (Sophie, Peanut & Pierre). In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading and traveling.

Dr. Robbins joined our team in 2016 after working in the Wheaton area for 5 years. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in zoology from Western Illinois University followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 2011. After completing an internship at the Brookfield Zoo Dr. Robbins learned that she enjoys working with pocket pets and other exotic species in her daily practice.
Dr. Robbins lives in Elgin, Illinois with her husband Aaron, son Logan and twins Anna & Archer. They share their home with their dog, two cats, two turtles, and a bearded dragon. In her spare time she enjoys running, gardening, crocheting, and crafting soap.

Dr. Margaret Dougherty joins the CVC family in April 2017 and we can't be more excited. We are convinced that she will add another layer of success to our amazing hospital.
Dr. Margaret has worked in the veterinary field for a long time spending the last 21 years at a small animal practice. We are lucky she reached out to us and wanted to join our team. She has great experience in both soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
Dr. Margaret’s demeanor is kind and she values client and patient care whole heartedly. She forms bonds with her peers and loves to collaborate regarding cases. We feel she will adjust very easily into our culture.
Dr. Margaret is a mom to a teenage boy and has 2 dogs, 1 cat, and lizards at home. She has a strong interest in surgery, internal medicine, and developing long-term relationships with her clients and patients.

Dr. McCratic is new to joining our team in 2019 and we are so excited to have her on board. Her experience with integrative medicine, rehabilitation and chiropractic care are a huge asset to our hospital and patients.
Dr. McCratic graduated from University of Illinois college of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 and has been practicing veterinary medicine ever since. Her love for animals started at the young age of 3 and has never veered from that course.
Her passion is integrative medicine - quality of life for geriatric/aged animals so that both they and their owners have a quality relationship. One of her main goals is preventative health at first puppy visit so we can start them off to a long and happy life together as pets and pet parent. She is also very passionate about stopping animal abuse. She has worked with Cook County Assistant states attorney Maria McCarthy to press charges against individuals that have abused animals.
Outside of the hospital she loves spending time with her husband and children, running, reading, crocheting, and walking her dogs. Dr. McCratic is also supportive of non profits like the Wounded Warrior Project and the Make a Wish Foundation. both her and her husband like to run marathons to raise awareness.

Dr. Masterton grew up in the Chicago suburb of Carol Stream. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University and received her doctorate degree at University of Illinois. From a young age she always felt the calling to become a veterinarian due to her love of all creatures and her desire to help them. Dr. Masterton has a special interest in surgery, primary care, and emergency medicine. In her free time she is an avid traveler and she loves to explore with her dog Bates.

Cindy Kay brought her bookkeeping expertise to the Cleveland Veterinary Clinic in March of 2005. Although only at the clinic on a part-time basis, Cindy has made herself indispensable by tackling all areas of the clinic’s finances with efficiency and accuracy.
Cindy makes her home in Elgin with her husband, Curt, and their daughter, Taylor. Her dogs Cubbie, Koda, a Ragdoll named Buddy, a hermit crab named Spots, a bunny named Snowball, and an aquarium of freshwater fish round out their family.
Cindy enjoys traveling with her family to destinations in both Wisconsin and Florida, where they fish, swim and spend time outdoors. In addition, she supports Taylor in her aspirations as an ice skater, both in individual and team shows and competitions.
Amy joined our tech team here at CVC as head technician in 2017. She started in the veterinary field 27 years ago as kennel, worked her way up and never looked back! Amy's favorite part of her job is watching patients grow and helping sick patients be happy and healthy. Her passion for surgery and knack for organization made her the perfect fit for our team.
In her free time, Amy spends time with her children, her husband and their pets, Opie, Althea and the crazy Guinea Pig Milo. She plays a big part in her kids extra curricular activities and loves be able to cheer them on from the sidelines of their favorite sports. In her downtime you can find Amy relaxing with her favorite snack (chips and salsa) and watching bad reality tv.
Miranda knew even at a young age she wanted to be able to work with animals. Before joining our team in 2015, Miranda volunteered at Cosley Zoo as an animal care giver. It was there that she fell in love with the medical side of animal care and decided she wanted to become a certified veterinary technician. She just completed her courses for C.V.T. at Rockford Career College and has graduated as a certified veterinary technician. She loves the veterinary field and cannot imagine doing anything else.
Erin became a part of the Cleveland Veterinary Clinic nursing team in June of 2007. She remembers that her strong connection with animals began in early childhood. It is that connection or drive that compelled her to choose veterinary nursing as her vocation. Erin is intrigued by the process of diagnosing and treating pets. She especially enjoys forming long-term relationships with clients and their pets and finds client education very satisfying.
Erin shares her home with her husband, Barry and her children. She has three brother cats, Wasabi, Tobiko and Mouse, that she rescued when they were only two days old and a French Bulldog named Ernie. When not at the clinic, Erin enjoys spending time with her animals and the people she cares about most. She also enjoys trying different ethnic foods and restaurants and knitting or crocheting gifts for friends and family.
Mandie joined our technician team here at CVC in 2017 but has been in the veterinary field since 2013. Her love for animals and knack for customer service made her a great addition to the team! Mandie loves the connection to the clients and the pets she gets while being a tech.
When she's not here helping the doctors in rooms or in surgery she can be found at home spending quality time with her family, Saul and Gianna and her pets, Cici, Nugget and Macho. Mandie also loves to volunteer her time at her church.
Jessie joined our technician team in 2019, but has been in the veterinary field since 2012. Her experience with emergencies and surgery make her a great addition to our team!
Jessie is passionate about rescue and regularly volunteers for H.E.L.P, a local rescue organization. in her free time Jessie loves to paint/draw, listen to music, travel and take her dog Arlo to the woods.
Cece joined our team as a technician assistant in 2018. Her ability to calm nervous clients/patients and her compassion make her an asset to our team here at CVC.
Cece started out in the field with the desire to learn something new. She attended the Midwest school of grooming and got a part time job working in a kennel. Her love of animals grew and so did her drive to continue to grow and learn in the veterinary field. She has since moved her way up and has been in the field for 5 years. She loves being able to give comfort and quality care to pets during what can be very scary or stressful situations.
Cece is also very passionate about animal rescue. She is involved with multiple fundraisers and fosters when the opportunity arises. In her free time she can be found rocking out to music, enjoying 'oldies' movies or spending time with her husband and son.
Megan joined our technician assistant team here at CVC in 2019. She comes to us with experience, passion and a love for all animals. She knew growing up that she was interested in animals and learning more about them so when a friend introduced her to the field, it was a no brainer, she had to learn more. She loves assisting the doctors and being able to help pets feel and get better.
When Megan isn't working, you can find her with her dogs at the dog park or forest preserve. She is also`passionate about non profit rescues
Jessica started as a kennel technician here at CVC and has been promoted to technician assistant. Jessica comes to us with experience and knowledge of caring for animals. Her happy and positive attitude make her a great addition to the team!
Jessica loves being able to work with animals and learn new things every day. She strives to help everyone and keep pets happy and healthy while their owners may be away. If your pet is boarding with us, they will be in great hands!
In her free time you can find Jessica reading, writing short stories, spending time with her friends/family or going to the movies.
Michelle joined our animal care team as a kennel technician in 2019. Her love for animals has always been constant but when she started working for a zoo in 2011, it sealed the deal. Caring for animals is her dream job. Her vast experience working with zoos and local shelters make her a great asset to us here at CVC.
In her spare time you can find her sewing and doing embroidery on special items for birthdays and weddings or drinking her favorite iced coffee. Michelle is also involved with local shelters and volunteers her time visiting the cats and dogs.
Tyson is new to our Kennel team as of summer 2020. We are so excited to have him as part of CVC. Tyson has been working with animals for over 5 years and joining the vet med world felt natural. Previously Tyson has worked for nature camps as an educator and animal care specialist. He loves to help make a difference and impact other lives.
In his free time, you can find Tyson gardening, hiking or taking care of his house plants. He also loves learning or talking about biology. Tyson Volunteers as an exhibit ambassador at the Shedd Aquarium and is currently enrolled at Roosevelt University.
3Amber has always had a love for all animals, so when she took a part time position after high school as a kennel assistant she knew she found her calling. Her love and passion for animals just grew and she enjoys making a difference in their lives.
Amber started in the veterinary field in 2005 and joined our reception team in December 2012 and has since taken on the role as the Media and Marketing Coordinator here at the clinic. She is also very involved in the animal rescue world and is currently enjoying fostering for a local rescue organization.
Amber shares her home with her husband and 2 children. She loves spending time with her family, reading and watching movies. She has 4 rescue dogs, Apollo, Tanger, Mack, and Tinkerbell and 3 rescue cats, Crosby, Gryffin and Jarvis.
Mariam joined our reception team in December 2012. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2007. Mariam has always had a great love for animals and grew up with cats and dogs. She could not imagine a house without a pet because they make wonderful companions.
Mariam shares her home with her Husband and daughter, and their cat Stanley. In her free time Mariam loves to do yoga, go for walks, read and cook.
Geri joined the team here at CVC in 2017. She came to us with 20 years knowledge and experience. Her genuine love for pets, compassion and understanding make her a great addition to the reception team. Helping pets live long happy lives is something Geri strives for daily.
When she's not smiling up front, you can find Geri crafting away. Her favorite past times are paper crafting, sewing, rubber stamping, craft painting and interior decorating. She also loves spending time with her husband of 31 years and their fur babies. Geri is also passionate about fostering for rescue organizations, Papillon rescue and Papillon Haven in particular. She loves the outstanding care the provide for orphaned dogs.
Elise joined our reception team at CVC in late 2018 but has been in the veterinary field since 2005. She knew since she was young that she wanted a career that kept her involved with animals and she pursued it. Before joining our team she worked at a boarding and daycare facility.
Elise's passion for animals and compassionate nature made her a great addition to the team. She loves being able to interact with owners and pets alike and help get our sick patients the care they need.
In her spare time Elise enjoys hearing live music, shopping and spending time with her family, including her 7 dogs.
Chloe joined the CVC Family in 2014 but has been in the veterinary field since 2009. Chloe is kind, compassionate and has a great understanding of veterinary medicine. Chloe also brings great knowledge of pet nutrition to our reception staff.
Before Chloe joined our team here at CVC, she lived in Nevada and worked with wild life, birds, reptiles and even camels! In her free time she loves to paint, hike and garden. Chloe resides here in South Elgin with her 2 cats, Rello and Snowball and a dog named Pippin.
Cate joined the reception team at Cleveland Veterinary Clinic in August of 2005. She was a career federal employee working in the personnel field for twelve years until she started a family and opened her own home child care business. Once she moved to Elgin in 1994, Cate entered the medical field working for a child psychology office in Schaumburg and then transitioned to the veterinary field at Cleveland Veterinary Clinic to be closer to home.
Cate makes her home in Elgin with her husband, Dave, and their three children, Nicholas, Danielle and Jennifer. Her family also includes a Welsh Corgi named Charlie, three turtles, Isaac, Ace and Jack, two parakeets, Apple and Icicle, two hamsters, Booboo and Snuggles, and a few nameless fish. On her days off Cate enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and gardening.
